Fernando Sepúlveda is the Chairman of the Iberoamerican Technology Foundation (ITF),an nonprofit organization focused on strengthening the talent and innovation ecosystemacross Latin America through partnerships with global universities and institutions. In thisrole, he has helped develop programs aimed at expanding access to education in emergingtechnologies—such as data science, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity—by facilitatingcollaborations with institutions like Harvard University and Arizona State University.Under his leadership, the Foundation has also contributed to workforce developmentinitiatives in key sectors, including semiconductors and electromobility. One notable effort isthe training of university faculty in northern Mexico to help build local capacity in advancedmanufacturing and electronics, in collaboration with ASU and Santander Universidades. Hehas also supported early efforts linked to the development of the electromobility sector inMexico.In addition to his role at ITF, Fernando serves as Chairman of the U.S.-Mexico BusinessAssociation (AEM), which works to promote economic integration and business developmentbetween both countries. Formerly, he served as Co-Chair of the Mexico-U.S.Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council (MUSEIC), a bilateral initiative to fostercross-border collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship.Before his current role, Fernando founded the Emerging Technologies Institute in SiliconValley, which provides training programs and advisory services for organizations navigatingdigital transformation. He is also the founder of TrepCamp, a program designed to supportthe development of entrepreneurial skills among young professionals. Earlier in his career,he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he worked on projectsrelated to performance management and cultural change.Fernando holds a degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México(ITAM), a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University, and has completed executiveprograms in innovation at Stanford University and corporate governance at SouthernMethodist University.
